An Update on Articulated Discussion

This is the long-missing TAO speaking! It has been some time since you've seen anything new on Articulated Discussion or heard from me. A lot goes on in life, and sometimes our toys have to fall to the wayside. It was becoming too much work and not enough reward to maintain the site, and instead of easing off steadily as I should have, I collapsed under the pressure and vanished.

I suspect there will never be new content posted on Articulated Discussion. It was a good run while it lasted, but the model of a site which does everything was unsustainable. I just wanted to return and make the top post on the main page a useful one. Articulated Discussion will stay online in its current state indefinitely. From search traffic alone the site brings in a suprising amount of traffic, and after checking recently, it turns out we've broken 2 million lifetime pageviews. I hope it remains a good place to find reviews and entertainment for the random internet wanderer for years to come.

If you just stumbled upon the site for the first time, then you missed out on something great in its heyday, but take the time to go through the 1000s of posts we have and I'm sure you'll find something to enjoy.

Temporarily Closed for Repairs

Hey folks. This is the last post I want to make, but I'm afraid there's little else to do at this point. We're going to be holding any new content for a while, as we figure out how to fix and improve the site, without losing any of our current content. I've been unable to give the site the attention it needs recently, and between the spam problems and a current inability to post anything other than text, this seems to be a losing battle. So we're going to go away for a little while, and come back with something new, improved, and best of all, functional. You just have to be patient for a little while longer, and know that I truly appreciate all the support and loyalty you guys have shown so far!

As Douglas Adams would say, "don't panic", because this isn't the last you'll hear of TAO, Wes, DrNightmare, and the rest of the gang.

Mint Condition on AD - #40

Regularly Scheduled Posting

Things are finally settling down in the hectic life of TAO, and the site will be returning to our old regular posting schedule on Monday! Be sure to thank Wes and DrNightmare for taking care of things while I've been gone, and thanks for sticking around through our brief hiatus. I'm glad to be coming back!

Mint Condition on AD - #39

Some things will never be complete, and today's comic offers just a little bit of sadness with all the funny, because of a toy line that may never be complete.

Toy Haul - Free Joes

It's always a nice surprise when a package arrives on my doorstep. I usually have a general idea of when something's coming and what it is, but seeing it on the porch when I get home still gets me excited. It's even better when a package is waiting on your doorstep and you have absolutely no idea what it is or why it's there in the first place. It could be a bomb, or it could be free toys. The focus of today's haul was definitely one or the other.

An Update on Updates

You'll have to forgive me for my ridiculously slowed posting schedule. I've been putting in significantly more hours in "real life" and haven't been able to spend as much time on the site as I'd like. I promise once things clear up in the near future, we'll be back to full strength with regular reviews and features. Until then, I'm going to continue keeping-up as best I can. We've got new and grand things in store a little further down the horizon too, so stick around and enjoy the lighter reading requirements while they last!

August's Commentator Contest Winner

I'm so far behind with everything, that it's taken me two weeks to announce last month's contest winner. If you've been waiting with extreme levels of anticipation, it's finally time for a release. Keep reading to find out who the lucky winner of a wonderful Dante figure was last month!

One Shots #85

Here's a fun comic from Morgan that I've been sitting on for quite a while but finally has its time to shine. I hope everyone likes it, so I'm just going to wish the comic luck by saying, "break a leg". You'll see why that's funny in a second....

If I'm not relying on crotch jokes for my laughs, apparently the next-best thing is going straight to toilet humor. Join us for a couple more silly comics and an almost guaranteed reaction of rolling your eyes.

Friday Breakage - September "10th"

I know we've been a little lighter on content lately, as I've been rather busy in the real world and unable to keep up with posting and editing duties like I should be. As such, I'm sure you'll enjoy this list of links to the outside world even more!
