[Welcome to Articulated Discussion's newest feature, Popcorn & Plastic. Every summer, toy aisles are overtaken by a horde of movie toys, moving out much beloved lines, replacing them with "action attack movie Batman" stacks as high as the eye can see. And if we're stuck with these piles of junk, we might as well enjoy watching the movie, or enjoy deriding the movie, that they're all based on. Whether it's good or bad, this is the place where movies meet their match, so sit down with some popcorn, grab a figure to squeeze for comfort, and enjoy jest's look at the 2007 movie everyone loves to hate, Michael Bay’s Transformers. Right here in the first ever: -TAO]

6/9/2009Bootleg Tuesday - June 9th

[Turn your attention to AD's latest guest writer, and hopeful regular, jest. He's going to take care of my weekly bootleg commentary this week, because these toys were just too horrifying for me to recover in time. Let's see how he handles the horror. -TAO] When given the opportunity to write this week’s establishment of Bootleg Tuesday, I knew I wanted to find a toy that was just so awful and hideous that writing a review for it would be an arduous task.  A task so daunting that its completion will hopefully prove my dedication to the readers here.  I’m pretty sure I’ve found the toy set, now on with the review [as always, brought to you by The Undiscovered Playthings bootleg action figure blog. -TAO]
