[TAO's Note: I think DrNightmare has fallen in love with a certain someone named Agent Helix. He's even written a multi-part comic featuring her in all kind of action-packed and humorous situations. Check out the first page and some fun "director's commentary" about its production in this brand new piece:]
Nightmare's Notes (Here I'll add notes about the current comic)
-I thought it'd be funny to have the Cobra symbol be huge and obvious on the building, don't do this with your own secret warehouses, it's a sure way to have the army storm your walls!
-It's very hard to keep your villainous set of train-tracks a secret, based on that, you can assume the guys running this operation are hardcore veterans of the train-hiding scene, they know exactly what they're doing. PHEAR THEM!
-There were supposed to be a bunch of Cobra Vipers in the second panel, it turned out to be very tedious to cut-out 10 troops and cleanly paste them in the frame, so just imagine there are troops there, hah!
-The brick-wall backdrop is from one of McFarlane's military box sets, I wish I had more of them but the set is freaking expensive at 25 bucks for one figure, a gun, and two walls, glad I got it on sale though! The crate is a repainted Superhero Showdown prop and the metal drums are from Marvel Select's Black Widow.
-That Para-Viper is my new favorite toy, I call him Dave. Let's see what kind of trouble he can get Helix into!
-I'll try to cut back on the exclamation marks...and the ellipses!...D'oh!
Some more words:
Men want her, women want her even more for varying reasons, she's Agent Helix! I know nothing about her, lol. This comic will run for a few pages, the first 4 show that I'm still getting the hang of posing and playing with these smaller figures, so please bear with me if the scenery and action seems a bit repetitive! I'm still tweaking things, playing with lighting, but the pages look uniform throughout.
Anyway, this comic won't strictly follow any real-comics continuity, I don't read the GI Joe comics (but I'll read the Helix Special to pick-up facts about her). This is about the rookie, Agent Helix, and one of her first missions. She's a sharp chick with a wide set of skills with snarkiness and shooting-things-in-the-face being chief among them. No crazy grown-from-a-vile backstory, she's not a cyborg or a ninja or a pirate-robot that shoots swords out of her butt, she's just a solid member of the G.I. Joe team, her past be damned!
You will quickly realize I have no real script for this story! I'm making it up as I go along, now I know better! If you have ideas for new stories, please send them my way and I'll make a new comic series for them if I like them enough! That, and if I have the figures needed. of course! ;)
