Welcome to the newest article series here on Articulated Autobot Discussion. There are a lot of classic commercials for Transformers toys, and if you look back on them, you'll notice that in every single one, the Autobots were vastly superior to their Decepticon alternatives. And I'm not just saying this because of the adjusted title of the site. over the next 7 days, we'll be taking a look at classic Transformers commercials, so that a little nostalgia can kick in, and we can all realize the Autobots':
This advertisement features Jetfire versus Shockwave in a pretty action packed battle that should definitely bring back some memories (or if you're just a bit too young to remember these like me, make you wish you had been around for these toys when they came out).
It's pretty evident that Jetfire would totally crush his foe in a fight between these two Transformers. He is an enormous, agile, and firepower-laden jet that can actually hold other Autobots inside of him. And what is Shockwave you ask? That's right, he's a cannon that can't even move on his own, let alone actually aim his gun. Even in robot form, you'd have to imagine that Jetfire's agility would give him an easy edge or the ground-bound Shockwave. If you need more proof, just listen to the narrator: "Autobots create the ultimate robot champion, Jetfire" -- that's all that needs to be said.
If you're still not convinced somehow, just look at the kid controlling Jetfire. He yells out the catch-phrase of the show. He's a passionate little guy that would never let a decepticon-wielding punk get the best of him. Plus, he's bigger.
