I've noticed a certain similarity between an animated antagonist and an aquatic avenger (not who you think) in yet another edition of:

Were the Four Horsemen in the middle of a Shrek marathon when the idea for this DC Universe Classics figure came to mind. A lof of people were surprised to see this modern Aquaman variant so soon, but maybe the sculptors were such big Shrek fans, that they couldn't let this opportunity slip by.

What do you think, is there a similarity? If there is, is it just such a generic look that anyone could pass for either fellow? I'm going to go with the latter there, and say that this one is just a likely coincidence.
