Double Vision - Toys in the Attic

It's been a long while since this feature has seen the light of day, but I couldn't shake the feeling that a certain DC Universe Classics figure looked like someone I knew. Now that I've figured it out, I just had to write another celebrity-mocking edition of...

I'm sure it takes a lot of time to sculpt an action figure's head. There are so many paintstaking details that have to be crafted, facial features to consider, and shapes to carve. I would guess that listening to music really helps pass the time while all this work is being completed, and I think I have a pretty good idea what band was being listened to while the DC Universe Classics Trigon figure was being sculpted: Aerosmith.

Just look at the uncanny resemblance between Trigon and Aerosmith front-man Steven Tyler. They have the exact same nose, the exact same cheekbones, the same guant cheeks, the same achingly-wide mouth, and even the same hair. They might even have the same pointed ears (it's hard to see underneath Tyler's long locks). I couldn't get an ideal picture for comparison, but just browse the internet for a while and you'll realize these two might as well be twins. I don't even want to get into Liv Tyler and Raven (their respective daughters) comparisons.

If that image is somehow not convincing enough, just look at this biography of Steven Tyler pulled from Wikipedia: "A sadistic, cruel and powerful demon of interdimensional origin, he is a result of the mating between a female member of a mystic sect and the god they worshiped. A side effect of this pairing, is that their child was filled with the cast-off evil energies of the inhabitants of Azarath, forming him into their personification. At birth, he killed everyone around him (including his own mother). At the age of six, he destroyed an entire planet. And by the age of thirty, he held dominion over millions of worlds in his dimension." Okay, well, I guess that was actually Trigon's biography, but they're close enough.

Someone even managed to take this picture at a concert where Tyler's true form broke free for a mere moment.

Look at that and honestly try to tell me you don't see a resemblance. You probably couldn't even tell it was photshopped for a good 30 seconds.
