The Pit Commando is a repaint of Dusty from the 25th Anniversary line. The sculpt is a good representation of a basic soldier. The head sculpt looks like Alex Baldwin to me, but I might be crazy. All of the weapons are well done. The backpack is huge and detailed, but does not stay plugged in too well. Also the Riot Armor likes to ride up on him and its collar prevents you from using the gas mask or riot helmet while he is wearing it. His left hand is almost useless, and pretty much is only good for holding the shield (although loosely). Because of the poor sculpt of the left hand it just never looks good no matter how you pose it, and also makes him look a little silly when trying to stand in a neutral position.
Sculpt Score: 7 / 10

Pit Commando is fully covered by a nicely painted camouflage pattern. His head and face are well done too. He is just a nicely painted figure, nothing that will blow your mind, but nicely done.
Paint Score: 7 / 10
He has standard G.I. Joe articulation plus a waste swivel. The good thing about the waste is that he can now twist while wearing the large vest. The elbows do not bend a full 90 degrees, so that is a bit annoying. Other than those things he is pretty basic, and there are no loose or tight joints.
Articulation Score: 7 / 10

The real reason to buy Pit Commando is for the accessories, and there are loads of them. I do not know what all of his bits and pieces are called, and I’m a little confused about the purpose of his black helmet, but he offers all kinds of play options when he is geared up. My favorite look is in the black vest with boonie cap.
Fun Score: 10 / 10

I purchased Pit Commando for $5.00 on sale, but for all of the accessories he is still worth the full retail of $7.99. For your money you are getting a very nice looking basic soldier, with loads of gear to share with his friends.
Value Score: 8 / 10

7 / 10 - Decent sculpt for a basic soldier with nice fatigues, but nothing real special.
7 / 10 - The paint serves its purpose, giving you an all camo figure that is well done.
7 / 10 - All of the joints are there, plus one, but they just don’t display well.
10 / 10 - With all of the gear he comes with the Pit Commando ends up being very fun.
8 / 10 - You get a good looking background soldier with plenty of weapons for a decent price.

78 / 100 - This is a Good Toy
The only thing about the Pit Commando that will “wow” you is his plethora of accessories. That is the only real reason to buy him, and you get a good looking soldier as well.
