6/20/2010Mint Condition on AD - #24

John Harmon has been bringing us great comics every single Sunday for the last 6 months! I can't believe it has been that long and each comic is still fresh and funny each week. Check out this Transformers inspired comic and be sure to thank John for his great comics.

Commentary: I don't care much for Transformers Animated, unless you couldn't tell. I care even less for the Plush toys coming out. Some people are really excited about them, and I'm assuming this is why.

I neither knew nor care about these plushies, but Transformers Animated is AWESOME. I'm just waiting for Hasbro to release that Wingblade Prime figure I keep seeing in my dreams!

I think you might like the Astro Boy Ball at TRU, it has a disturbing amount of warnings on it, like "do not puncture, do not expose to direct sunlight, do not place in mouth, do not place in water", haha.

I'm with SDCC Exclusive Wes wholeheartedly. Had no idea they were out, but the show and toys were fantastic. Can you believe they actually had a Die Hard reference in a kid's show? Awesome!

Yeah, I don't care too much for plush toys period. Weird that they would make little kid's toys/dolls flammable. lol Nice comic, John!

I haven't actually seen any images of these things, but if they look halfway as cool in real life as they do in John's comic, I want some.

I dunno, I still don't get what's so great about Transformers Animated...it seems way too corny for my tastes. Corny even for a Transformers cartoon.

@Nightmare jeez, did it also advise against feeding it after midnight?

@wesitron had no idea about a Die Hard reference. What was it exactly?

I think they look cute, but really who needs plush Transformers? The way I see it, if they don't transform, they shouldn't be made. Now, transforming plush toys? Wouldn't buy them, but I'd be damned impressed with whoever could make those.

Damn...time flies by doesn't it?

I feel as if I should have made this particular strip something monumental, but...I guess I didn't realize how long it had been.

I did not even know about Animated as it began airing after I moved to the UK, we do not get it here, but I found a link for watching it online and was HOOKED. The show is great and even my daughter watched it with me. I won't be getting any plushies but for anyone that did want to cuddle Animated Optimus, I am happy the option is there!

@ John - Great comic! I don't understand the fascination either. As for transforming plush Transformers. I bought a Generation 1 Bumblebee for my son when he was born (about 1.5 years ago). You turn it inside out to make him into the Volkswagon Beetle. He's the only one they had, but it seems like there was an Optimus as well...

@John Harmon - I don't know if it has been exactly six months, but I did the rough math: 24 comics / ~4 comics a month = ~6 months.

I think last month had 5 comics. There is still one comic to go in June before it's officially 6 months, but it's still been a long time.

You're right! I remember seeing those. They did have Optimus, too. I believe they came out at the same time as the first live-action movie. They were pretty neat, but I didn't but any.

Aww, god!

I hate the Transformers Animated series! They made Transformers too cute. And they really had to make up their up own villians. Like that stupid Prof. Princess. WTF, dude?
