googum's Notes
-For panel 1, man, I wish I had bought that Marvel Legends Guardian. And when Captain America zings you, ow. That's like getting burnt by your mom.
-Panel 2 appeared on my year-end toy count post, but since I wasn't willing to buy another Guardian figure to represent a clone, well, you get it again.
-I'm unwilling to admit how much fun I had setting up panel 3, which would be maybe the only way to make the Newsboy Legion cool. There are some concepts in comics that are cool, some that could be cool with the proper spin, and some that will never, ever be cool. You can go ahead and slide the Newsboys to the bottom of that pile. The nicest thing I can say about them, is that I don't remember them having any horrible racial stereotypes, or fat kids. Now, Morrison's Newsboy Army, I think that one was hardcore messed up...
-Panel 4: Maybe all those guys aren't always in Metropolis all the time, but Superman has a lot of backup. And Supes seems nicer, but is just as likely to pull the "my way or the highway" speech as Batman.
-Lastly, Speedy there is from the Teen Titans line, but that poor sod is another issue entirely. Also, anyone in the DCU with the last name Harper, will be tangentially related. And Red Tornado's main role in the satellite era Justice League stories, was not unlike a wrestling jobber: to get beat down, to show how tough the big bad is.
