This figure is the classic version of everybody's favorite big green monster, the Hulk. There is a different paint option for this same build, Savage Gray Hulk, which I understand is identical except for paints applications. Classic Hulk is a part of the Fin Fang Foom wave from Hasbro's Marvel Legends line, and I've seen him available for purchase as both Wal-Mart, Target, and Toys R Us. Buying him online is a good option as well. Hulk's a nice, large figure that looks exactly like Hulk should to me.

Sculpt
Hulk's sculpt is quite attractive because he looks big, menacing, and angry, exactly like he should. Detailed veins are popping out all over his arms and neck, while the tattered pants look naturally ripped and have nice folds and wrinkles where they are stretching across muscles. The face has a furious snarl, with nicely carved teeth and a scrunched up nose. His eyes look perfectly angry and his hair is well sculpted too. The only big problem I have with this character's sculpt is his two open hands. While they look good for what they are, I would have appreciated at least one closed fist. The hulk just doesn't look right when he can't punch something, and has to rely on slapping instead. Overall, it's a strong sculpt that makes this figure look exactly like Hulk ought to.
Sculpt Score: 9 / 10 - Good details with veins and pants, very nicely done facial features. Good size and dimensions, but two open hands is bothersome.
Paint
I like the colors chosen for this figure, with a nice shade of green that isn't too dull or too vibrant. The pants might be a shade too purple, but I can live with them. The thing about Hulk's paint is that it just feels like more could have been done. I don't know if he needs a stronger wash or what, but he looks plastic-like. It's definitely not severe, and he still looks good, but something's just missing. The back of the figure is especially bare and it seems like no attention to its paint was paid. Although it's not too bad, there is some purple slop in a few green areas on this figure. The details on his head are very tightly painted and do the sculpt justice.
Paint Score: 7 / 10 - Good color choices, a little light on variety and washes. A little bit of slop, but nice tight applications where it matters, on the face.
Articulation
Hulk has acceptable articulation, but I think the sculpt really holds it back. He has articulation everywhere he needs it and even some places he doesn't, yet parts of the sculpt limit his range of movement. His elbows, for instance, can probably only move 30-40 degrees, instead of a more practical 90 because of his huge biceps and restrictive forearms. Even though his hips are a real pain to move where you want, you can still get them there. It's often hard to get Hulk into positions you want, because of the sticky articulation that hurts your hands after a while, but you can still get him there. His head has a really nice range of movement that makes for dynamic posing when combined with his equally nice chest articulation. Another great thing is that his articulation doesn't interfere with the appearance of his good sculpt. Only his wrists look a little awkward.
Articulation Score: 8 / 10 - Lots of points to make for great posing, doesn't ruin the look of the sculpt, can be hard to move joints, and some articulation is limited by size of parts.
Fun
There are few characters in comics or elsewhere that are as naturally fun as the Hulk. Bruce Banner turning into a giant raging monster who wreaks havoc and destruction wherever he goes is just a fantastic setup for fun in any kid or collector's playroom. This figure will destroy other puny figures in mock battles and is a blast to pose and ensure his menacing appearance on your shelf. He doesn't come with any fun play features, action features, or accessories (except a dismembered leg from the Build-A-Figure) like true kid's figures, but the character and the figure himself is enough for anyone to enjoy.
Fun Score: 9 / 10 - He's the Hulk, who's more fun than that? Some action features or accessories would bump him up to a 10.
Value
This figure retailed for over $15 when I purchased him at Wal-Mart. In my experience, Wal-Mart is one of the cheapest places to shop, so Classic Hulk is going to be more than $15 almost anywhere you get him. That's really pushing it for an action figure for me, and $10-12 sounds a lot more reasonable for some reason. All the same, his is a big figure, and he feels like you've got a big ol' chunk of plastic in your hands. He's also as sturdy as the 'real' Hulk and I think it'd take some concerted effort for me to break this figure. It's also important to keep in mind that he did include a Build-A-Figure piece of the giant Fin Fang Foom, so if you plan to get the rest of the figures in the line, then that will increase his value. Some accessories and a slightly lower price tag would really have bumped up Hulk's score, but he's not a terribly bad deal for $15.
Value Score: 7 / 10 - There's a lot of figure in the package, includes the BAF piece. A little high on the price range, and doesn't include any accessories.

Overall Score: 80 / 100 - This is a great toy
Classic Hulk is a great entry from Hasbro in the Marvel Legends line. His sculpt is dead-on Hulk, while his articulation gets the job done, and he's just a blast to play with. Only weaker paint and a higher price point really keep this toy from shining.
