Toy Haul - A Gentleman and a Doctor

Well, DCUC wave 7 reviews here at AD will finally be finished sometime late tonight when I get Atom Smasher's done, and here I am holding figures for Wave 8. It's either a sign of my tortoise-like properties, or Mattel is proving to be the hare after all. DCUC wave 8 reviews will be coming very soon, but see which figures I've already picked up and my early impressions in another edition of:

I can't believe we're already 8 waves into DC Universe Classics. I remember being a wide-eyed fanboy a couple years ago at Wizard World Chicago when I first set my eyes upon previews of Wave 2. With a shelf full of DC's greatest, and even more on the way, I'm a happy fellow. Today's haul adds a little bit more to that joy pile with some of my favorite characters. Huge thanks to Mike's Comic N Stuff for getting these in my hands so quickly.

Hawkgirl appears to be another classic entry in this line. I haven't found any problems with her yet, and I anticipate a score matching that of the much beloved Hawkmen. The fates are both okay, but nothing amazing. I'm pleasantly surprised by how much I like both versions of the Parademon, and am disappointed a bit by my Gentleman Ghost, but I'll get into that soon enough. Early impressions of Giganta point toward greatness, and I'm totally in love with the tiny little Atom pack in. I can't wait to get my hands on Mr. Terriffic and Vigilante now.

Did you just get a package in the mail, or have your feast in the aisles of Wal-Mart? If you do have a recent haul that you're proud of, then just snap a picture, write a few words, and send it all may way at thearticulatedone@articulateddiscussion.com and you might see it featured just like this.
