So today's Toy Haul is a little different, being that it features something I bought online, and something that isn't exactly new anymore. I'll put it this way, it's big and it's a robot. No its not a Megazord, that's crazy talk. See just what I picked up in another splendid entry of:
I was never really a hug Transformers fan, although my interest has had its peaks and valleys. After reviewing all of the new 25 Anniversary Deluxe class figures this last month, I've really become enamored by these big lugs. This new found infatuation led me to a toy I never really considered buying before, and one that's generally out of my price range. Masterpiece Optimus Prime.
You'll notice that the picture above isn't mine (it's from the auction I won, because I haven't actually received him yet, but I couldn't wait to post), nor is the figure the original Takara version, but instead a cheaper, less fancy re-release. I'm still not quite into the $200 action figure market, which is what the original seems to be priced out at currently, so this was the most reasonable option to quench my thirst. The only difference that I'm aware of is some varied coloring and shorter smokestacks, as well as well over a $100 saved. Yay me. Depending on how much I like him, he may spur an "Antiquely Articulated" review feature on the site, we'll see. Does anyone else have this figure, or recommend other Masterpiece releases?
