I wasn't expecting to buy any toys today, but a quick stop by Toys R Us and Target yielded some otherwise unplanned finds. See just what I picked up in this edition of:
With Toys R Us's ever growing presence of high end figures, you never know just what you're going to get. Like a hungry fellow heading into a Dunkin' Donuts, my mind was spinning with possibilities. One quick dive through the superhero aisle left a twinge of hunger, but then I stumbled upon the new NECA Bionic Commando figure. After the grand meal that was NECA's Street Fighter IV figures, I assumed this fellow would make for a fine dessert. The positive review over at Poe Ghostal was still lingering somewhere in my subconscious, so I decided to take a bite. Grasping the only BC without a face scar, a took just a few steps over, and what did I spot? The newest Tansformers Universe Deluxe figures! Dinobot (I already have Smokescreen) joined the Commando beneath my arm and it was time for the second course over at Target.
I apologize for the terrible photo, I was in a hurry (Valentine's Day)
I've never really considered eating turtle, but in this drawn out food analogy, that's just what I got. Target had recently made room for the 25th Anniversary Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles figures, and though I had never been too excited about these before, upon spotting them, nostalgia took hold and wouldn't let go. Leonardo and Donatello (my childhood favorites) hit my taste buds just right as I devoured the warm feelings of joy they provided.
All in all this felt like a relatively successful (and surprising) trip that will hold me off for a little while. I like all of these toys so far, but you'll have to wait a couple weeks as I catch up on reviews to read my "official" opinions on all of them. Keep hunting and you never know what you're going to get to eat!
